I am a licensed professional counselor with a passion for assisting individuals in their moment of need. Utilizing my training and experience as a psychotherapist and Christian minister, I assist individuals, couples, families and groups discover effective solutions to life's challenges. While I primarily offer counseling services in the greater Atlanta area, I am also a licensed to provide counseling services in Florida as a licensed mental health counselor (MH 8417).
I received my Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) from the University of Miami and my Master Of Divinity (M.Div.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I also have a Master of Theology (Th.M.) from NOBTS. I currently serve as Dean of the School of Counseling and Assistant Professor of Counseling at Richmont Graduate University (formerly the Psychological Studies Institute) in Atlanta. Richmont is a fully accredited, Christian graduate university, providing master's-level training in professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, and ministry.
I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS). My clinical experience includes working in schools, residential group homes, psychiatric hospitals and private centers. Prior to joining Richmont I served as an adjunct professor with Florida Memorial University in Miami, FL, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, South Florida Extension Center. My pastoral experience includes serving on staff in churches in New Orleans and Miami, in addition to conducting training workshops and seminars for pastors and church leaders in various regions.
Personal
I'm originally from Guadeloupe (French West Indies) and lived in South Florida and Louisiana prior to moving to Atlanta. I do speak French and Creole and enjoy working with and meeting people from diverse cultures. I have a beautiful, loving wife. Together we have three precious children. Apart from working, I enjoy jogging, reading, playing the piano and spending time with my family and friends.
